Very easy distance hike in the rugged north-west of Lanzarote to the village of “Tenesara”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first half of this hike takes us through agricultural areas west of Tinajo – the capital of the municipality of the same name. Depending on the season we see the fields in different colors, where lentils, carrots, potatoes, pumpkins and many more are cultivated. The details of this so-called dry field cultivation are explained in detail.
Finally we arrive at the foot of Mta. Tenesara (a sacred mountain of the Mahos\/Native people), where the second part of our hike continues. Along the border of the lava fields of the eruptions in the 18th century we experience the “hard contrast” between young lava and old landscape very closely – pure Lanzarote feeling.
Finally, we reach the coast of the small settlement of Tenesara via a narrow path, where we take a longer break and marvel at the fascinating surf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should have the following with you<\/strong>: Sun protection, sufficient water (approx. 1 l per person), snack, a light jacket – if it gets windy, photo equipment, sturdy shoes\/closed shoes
Please note:<\/strong> there is no possibility<\/strong> to buy drinks or snacks on the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note on the procedure for track walks<\/strong> (in contrary to circular walks): The meeting point is usually also the destination of the hike. After we have met at the meeting point, we leave one or two cars there. Then we drive with one or two cars to the starting point where the hike begins. At the end of the hike we reach the meeting point and take the cars parked there and then drive back to the starting point of the hike to pick up the remaining cars.
