A varied hike in the “Barranco de Tenegüime”, a fascinating notched valley near Guatiza.
One would not think it possible that behind the simple entrance along agriculture suddenly such a natural wonder opens up. We first hike along a dried-out creek bed, through an amazingly diverse vegetation – while the steep walls of this notch valley around us get higher and higher. In this protected valley, one finds an astonishingly abundant vegetation for Lanzarote. Especially fascinating, however, are the basalt structures, millions of years old, which we walk and climb (who wants to). The way back runs above the valley, so that we can see this natural wonder from ever new perspectives.
