Camino Gayo

We walk along the “Camino Gayo” near Guinate on a steadily ascending unpaved dirt road.
Along the way, in addition to lush vegetation, there are many explanations about the history of Lanzarote and the north in particular. After roughly 2 km, we reach the remains of the few wells that once existed on Lanzarote and explain the great challenges that people on this barren and water-scarce island had to overcome in the past. We then leave the main path and continue on a small trail to a fantastic viewpoint, where we take a longer break before heading back, which is also educational and entertaining.

As always, you will receive valuable information about flora and fauna as well as history and geology on this tour – pure Lanzarote feeling!

This tour impresses with its diverse views and the relatively good condition of the trail, which allows even inexperienced hikers to participate.
