Along the lava fields of the Timanfaya we first cross an inconspicuous volcanic group before we cross the vineyards near Mancha Blanca. We see and understand the wine cultivation on Lanzarote with all its efforts and agonies that lead to a unique quality. In the further course we come to an old site of the indigenous people. The fascinating history of the aborigines in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands will be briefly explained. Finally, we go up to a volcano – the Caldera Quemada. The view from the edge of the crater into the crater and beyond makes us amazed. On the way back there is a little surprise… And now we experience the lava landscape very closely.
As always, there is a lot of interesting and entertaining information about history, flora and fauna and geology on this tour.
